Caris Life Sciences Facilities Coordinator $5K Sign-On Bonus in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop maintenance schedules: Create and manage daily, weekly, monthly, semiannual, annual, biennial, and triennial maintenance schedules for both preventive and corrective tasks to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.

  • Prioritize work orders: Analyze and prioritize maintenance requests based on criticality, equipment downtime potential, and production impact, ensuring that urgent tasks are addressed promptly.

  • Create detailed job plans: Develop comprehensive work orders, including specific instructions, necessary tools, materials, and time estimates for each maintenance activity.

  • Monitor work order progress: Track the completion of maintenance work orders, ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently, work orders are documented accurately, and address any delays or obstacles that may arise.

  • Manage spare parts inventory: Ensure that critical spare parts, tools, and materials are available and ordered in a timely manner to avoid delays in maintenance activities.

  • Maintain maintenance records: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and equipment history, for future reference and audits.

  • Facility KPIs: Track and trend KPIs, collaborating with the Facilities Director and Sr. Manager.

  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors or suppliers for facility-related goods and services, ensuring they meet quality and cost standards. This is a partnership with the Facility Sr. Manager.

  • Contracts: Obtain competitive quotes, and service-level agreements with suppliers and contractors, ensuring favorable terms for the organization. Follow through on all contracts working closely with the onsite procurement team and facilities management.

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain strong positive relationships with key vendors and contractors, addressing issues and resolving disputes as they arise.

  • Performance Evaluation: Continuously assess supplier performance, contract fulfillment, and procurement strategies, making recommendations for improvements or changes where needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of experience as a maintenance planner/scheduler working within an industrial maintenance complex, manufacturing/distribution industries, or related field.

  • Subject matter expert (SME) level knowledge of CMMS use (preferably eMaint).

  • 1+ year(s) implementing service agreements, requisition paperwork, and procurement tasks.

  • Proficiency in planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation. Candidates should possess excellent organizational skills, building collaborative relationships with internal customers and external vendors.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Operations Management and or a Business discipline.

  • Certified Reliability Leader (CRL).

Physical Demands

  • Must possess ability to sit, stand, and/or work at a computer for long periods of time.

  • May have exposure to blood-borne pathogens, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, fumes and bio-hazardous material/chemical including formalin in the lab environment.

  • Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Training

  • All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.

Other

  • This position requires periodic travel and some evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

  • Job may require after-hours response to emergency issues.

  • Periodically scheduled on-call may require after-hours response for technical emergencies not explicitly related to assigned job responsibilities.

  • At times may be required to work weekends/holidays.
